Existing 2 storey brick villa, fully refurbished with existing exterior/interior features complemented by new contemporary design/finishes and lighting/electrics and data.
Existing rear extension significantly upgraded with new double glazed/solar control aluminium windows, insulated render panels and external Brise Soleil shading devices.
New rear 1st floor extension and side staircases. New element comprising 'Structural framing system' to new zinc cladding elevations and imperial scale brickwork/insulation cavity.
New staircases with glazed balustrates provide DDA compliant access to all levels of the building whilst retaining the original central timber staircase.
Multi-functional spaces created through incorporation of moving/folding screens. Small 1 to 1 teaching spaces enlarge to larger group study areas.
Contemporary interior incorporates bold colour 'landmark elements', neutral floor finishes, feature lighting and floating acoustic ceiling panels with integrated lighting.
Comprehensive interior design developed with users. Sample boards for finishes products reviewed and agreed and interior design carried through to bespoke furniture and loose furniture selections.
New platform lift introduced through existing building, providing staff/student access to all areas.
External DDA compliant ramp refurbishment.
New 2 tier reception desk is DDA compliant and incorporates induction loop.
New wheelchair accessible WC facilities for staff and students.
Construction involved several short term road closures whilst steel frame and pre-cast components were delivered and installed into the restricted site. |
