Chartered Architect, Managing Director
Andrew Ledbetter formed Globe Architects in 1993. Andrew is a Chartered Architect and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. As Managing Director of the company Andrew is involved in all aspects of company life ranging from management of all company systems, principal company interior architectural and landscape design, involvement in all aspects of project development from inception through to completion.
Following professional training at Sheffield University, Andrew has worked extensively within the healthcare, education, transport and environmental design architectural sectors. In all instances, working closely with the client, Globe Architects always strive to fulfil their clients aspirations and often exceed their best expectations. Particularly within the healthcare market, Andrew has been involved in many healthcare projects incorporating the latest technological developments in diagnostic and treatment suites. Globe Architects have enjoyed many repeat commissions from satisfied clients.
Andrew enjoys and successfully combines his duties as Principal Company Designer and Project Manager, balancing these duties with the successful day to day running of the business.
Andrew enjoys winter sports activities and making music with friends. However, the day job is safe.
BA (Hons) Architecture
Charlotte studied her degree in Architecture at The Hull School of Art and Design and is currently an Architectural Assistant at Globe.
During her studies she specialised her final year on healthcare design and focused her dissertation on the healing powers of architecture within healthcare facilities. After the completion of her degree Charlotte spent two years working for the NHS Infrastructure and Development team playing a pivotal role in the design of a 24 bed Medical Ward and Ambulatory Assessment Unit.
Charlotte has a genuine passion for Healthcare specialising in designing for those suffering with Dementia and Visual impairment.
Charlotte is a fitness fanatic who enjoys long distance running and is a member of her local netball team.
BSc (Hons) Architecture & Environmental Design
Ashley studied a degree in construction before completing his Batchelor in Architecture and environmental design at Sheffield Hallam University and is currently an Architectural Assistant at Globe. His duties range from producing design and detailed drawings to visiting site to carry out surveys. During his study Ashley spent a semester in Australia where he learnt about new architecture styles and how to design for a different climate. He has a keen interest in sustainability and designing for the wellbeing of the end user. He plans to complete his education to become a Chartered Architect.
BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Environmental Design
Yaprak comes from an Interior Architecture background with expertise in visualisation, concept development and space planning. She has achieved her bachelor degree in Turkey and is now currently studying MA Interior Design at Sheffield Hallam University.
As an interior designer Yaprak’s duties include developing initial design ideas, preparing working 2D & 3D drawings, preparing sample/aspiration boards and detail design.
Yaprak has a particular interest in changing trends in interior design and she has good 3D awareness.
Yaprak enjoys travelling new places and meeting new people from different cultures. She is also trying to improve her graphic design skills in her free time.
BSc Architectural Technology
Architectural Technologist Assistant
Brad is currently studying Architectural Technology at Sheffield Hallam University and has gained an excellent background and expertise in construction. Since starting employment at Globe in June 2015, Brad has gained valuable experience in building surveying and refurbishment projects. Brad is capable of fulfilling many aspects of the architectural process starting from the initial client briefing, through to detail design.
Brad has spent a month in Greece as an exchange student working alongside other greek and German students to design a cost effective Orphanage in the Philippines. He has a particular interest in expanding his knowledge of the built environment, therefore maximising the potential for building sustainability and improving the overall design, with consideration of the client's budget. Brad is fully computer literate thus being able to undertake detailed design packages such as the company's AutoCAD LT and Revit LT software.
Brad enjoys socializing with friends, camping and going to festivals during the summer. Brad also takes part in Paintball/Airsoft tournaments and Military Simulation (MilSim) events around the UK.
