Globe successfully obtained full planning and listed building consent to the development, providing apartments within the existing Rectory and via new build extensions.
Proposals discussed and developed with the support of English Heritage.
Extensive site landscape strategy agreed with Local Authority Landscape department.
Particular requirement to retain many existing Rectory building features, which were in a derelict condition.
Significant rebuilding of external/internal walls, roof areas and general site modifications to provide a stable structure/site.
Works completed on site via submission of a Building Notice to the Local Authority, who inspected works as it proceeded.
Many site details developed as detail of the existing unstable structure emerged. Improved thermal performance of the building through new roof/insulation/dry lining walls and well insulated new apartment party walls. New windows introduced in traditional Georgian style. |
