Globe Architects provided multidisciplinary design team services, including M&E and Structural.
An enabling works contract enabled numerous maternity services to be decanted to clear the site for the new Neonatal Unit.
Preceded by an enabling works contract, the new neonatal unit was designed by Globe with comprehensive interior design review with the user group and compliancy with health building notes. The complete ward conversion took place in a live hospital environment with decanting adjacent maternity services operational through the contract period.
The unit had a large attached plant room with additional dedicated roof top plant.
To provide direct access to the ward, a newly created and dedicated bridge spans the courtyard adjacent to the unit, which avoids disruption to other wards. |
